Enriched by the core values of Lasallian education, Oakhill College nurtures students to understand, appreciate and celebrate the Catholic faith and its traditions. At Oakhill we give our students the opportunity to serve others, enhance their faith and continue their spiritual journey. By connecting students to our community and global partners, our focus on this active learning aims to develop young men and women who are responsible and aware global citizens and who are committed to linking hearts and minds by living out our Lasallian values as an extension of their own world view.
Central to the faith life of the College is our sacred Chapel, which provides a reflective environment for prayer and liturgy. Opportunities for prayer are offered regularly and as part of the ceremonial life of the College. At the commencement of each day, students are reminded of God’s presence in their lives. Prayer and liturgy are also key components of student reflection days and retreats as well as spirituality days.
The College community comes together for Mass several times throughout the year, where the centrality of the Eucharist is evident. College liturgies are joyful celebrations, featuring beautiful music and a high level of student participation and engagement. Mass is also held regularly for the College community in our Chapel on Friday morning before school. Oakhill College is proud to be part of the worldwide Lasallian network.
